A Very Merry Christmas... (Part One)

It is hands-down my favorite time of year. From Thanksgiving to Christmas, it is all considered Christmastime to me. There are so many traditions and so much time to spend with the ones we love! I am very lucky to have a profession that allows me to spend quite a bit of off time with my girls, although we didn't do a whole lot of anything. I did get all of my laundry done and was able to see the tile floor in my laundry room for the first time since we've moved in. :)

One thing we did do was play outside (yes, in short sleeves in December) and create Mema one her presents. While I painted the canvas, the girls did some painting of their own... oh, the masterpieces! We then spent some time jumping on the trampoline.

Before heading to Nana's we always open presents at Mema's house. Uncle Josh and Aunt Stefanie were spending Christmas in Tallahassee so we weren't able to open with them. We had a good time though, just the Briscoes and Mema and Katie. I got some new Shark tools (regular old mopping is for the birds), Heath got a Worx weedeater, Ella got a movie and Eliza got a babydoll. We got Mema a new pot set and gave her the painting we made. Uncle Josh and Aunt Stef got each of the girls a personalized umbrella, but they also got Ella a veterinarian Barbie and Eliza a babydoll with a stroller. We got Ansley a FridgeFarm and a set of Eric Carle Brown Bear books.

Our Christmas traditions always include Christmas Eve at Nana & Grandaddy's house. I love to look around each year and note how much our children and families change. One day soon I will do a post from the Christmas Eves of old... the Stevens clan has multiplied many times in the past few years! Of course there was good eatin' (one of the best bowl of oyster stew [minus the oysters of course]) and good laughs (watch out for lil' hands Uncle Steven).

Love my G- Man :)

Where there are boys, there will be wrestling.

Is there any sweeter sugar anywhere?

They took a break from wrestling to play a game together.
I hope that they will always be close and want to spend time with each other.

He may be small, but he puts up a good fight. ;)

Go Kellen! Go Kellen!

How much we love these two!
The very last thing we did before bedtime was to let Ella sprinkle some reindeer food on the lawn. And then we waited for Santa...
